Telemedicine FAQ
Team Sterett is Now Offering Telemedicine Services
Team Sterett & Telemedicine
A telemedicine visit allows you to visit with Dr. Sterett and his team using video and audio. All you need is access to a smart phone or a computer with a camera and a speaker.
What Can You Discuss During Your Telehealth Session?
We are able to discuss your orthopaedic condition, concerns, and recommend treatment options, just like an in-office visit.
Who Will You See on The Video?
You can expect to see a Sterett Team member on video and to discuss options directly with Dr. Sterett and a team member.
How Do You Know if You qualify for telemedicine care?
We are currently seeing new patients, established patients, and post-operative patients. Most insurance companies are supporting Telemedicine visits and we are able to bill for them just like an office visit. Please contact your insurance directly if you have any questions about your specific insurance plan.
What If You Need X-Rays?
If you require any imaging, like x-rays or MRIs, we can order these and submit for insurance authorization using the telemedicine clinic note.
What If You Need Surgery?
If you think your injury may require surgery, we are able to collect all of the information we need in order to take the next steps and get you scheduled for surgery.
What If You need Crutches or a brace?
We can also recommend durable medical equipment, such as a knee brace or crutches, and set you up with a local medical equipment specialist for fitting.
How Do You Log on for A telemedicine visit?
During your visit, you will log into the Vail Summit Orthopaedics Patient Portal or the Healow app and clinic on your scheduled appointment in order to join our virtual waiting room. This is where Team Sterett will meet you at your scheduled time. Click here for instructions on accessing the Patient Portal or the Healow App.
How Do You Schedule A Telemedicine Visit?
