Dr. Bill Sterett Research


Dr. Sterett has been heavily involved in Medical Research as well as Medical Education for the past twenty years.  He has published 30 peer review research articles and hundreds of invited reviews in lay journals and press.  

Dr. Sterett was a member of the Steadman Hawkins Research Foundation Scientific Advisory Committee between 1994 and 2011 as well as serving on its Board of Directors during the same time.

The prestigious Athletic Training Fellowship Program at the Steadman Clinic was started by Dr. Sterett in 1997 and he served as the Fellowship Director for this program from its inception until he transitioned to Vail Summit Orthopedics in 2011.  In 2003, Dr. Sterett named Bryan Diekmann, ATC as the Fellowship Coordinator for this program, a position he held until leaving with Dr. Sterett to join VSO.

Dr. Sterett began training Fellows in Orthopedic Surgery in 1996 and became an integral part of the Steadman Hawkins Fellowship Program for the next 15 years having been involved in training more than 100 surgeons in Knee and Shoulder Sports Medicine.
